Jacqueline Burns

My name is Roy Bhatia, originally from Bolton in Lancashire and currently living in Swindon.

I started working in the optical industry in 1995. I began my career as a qualified dispensing optician; I then progressed to qualify as a contact lens optician and worked extensively throughout the UK, providing contact lens clinics for many of the larger companies. I moved to Wiltshire around three years ago to work as an optometrist, which I enjoy immensely.

Whilst working for some of the large chain opticians, I found there simply wasn’t always the time to provide quality eye care, consequently the whole process sometimes appeared a little rushed and impersonal. One of the reasons I opened my own practice is to provide my patients with a high standard of eye care. With the prevalence of age related eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and Macular degeneration set to increase, the eye examination has never been so important.

At Jacqueline Burns opticians we offer a full 30-minute eye examination using the latest in eye testing equipment and you will always be seen by the same optometrist each time!
